RatuszIn the time from February 2010 till February 2011 I spent two very interesting semesters as an exchange student at the Poznan University of Economics. Poznan is a great place worth seeing. The city combines historic places with a modern life and therefore guarantees that you never feel bored. Next to a number of modern shopping centers and a colorful nightlife you will see plenty of old monuments. Poznan “never sleeps” because throughout the whole year there is a huge amount of events including concerts, galleries, markets, sport events and much more. In addition, the local ESN (Erasmus Student Network) group offered countless activities, trips, workshops and parties. The advantageous location of the city makes it easy to reach and also allows a number of travels through Poland by car, train or airplane.

The Poznan University of Economics provides a proper learning environment and offers an amount of interesting courses for Exchange Students. In these courses I successfully worked together with Polish and other international students. A small number of course participants plus a good support of the professors provided ideal conditions to complete all courses successfully. The time in Poznan was great! I want to thank my IS:Link Coordinator and the KIE Department (Department of Information Systems) for their encouragement. After finishing my last courses successfully in the spring semester the KIE department and my IS:Link Coordinator enabled me to broaden my stay for the autumn semester, when I wrote my Bachelor thesis.

Pillowfight Poznan

During my exchange in Poznan I gained invaluable experiences and discovered the great Polish hospitality. For this reason I can only recommend taking this great opportunity that IS:Link provides. I am looking forward for my next visit in Poznan and Poland.
