The University of Klagenfurt is a young, dynamic university that enjoys a high reputation for research and teaching both on a regional and on an international level. It draws its sense of identity from its geographical location in the south of Austria, at the heart of the Alps-Adriatic region. At present nearly 7,800 students from a total of 112 countries are studying at the University of Klagenfurt. Students can choose from a variety of programmes offered by four faculties:

  • Faculty of Cultural Studies

  • School of Management and Economics

  • Faculty of Technical Sciences

  • Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies

Student life

The central educational institution in the south of Austria offers an excellent quality of life thanks to its location and facilities. In close proximity to Lake Wörthersee, the students enjoy a campus life characterised by variety, internationality, intellectual exchange and individual support.
