The Jönköping University was established in 1977. It is located in the city of Jönköping and is one of the three Swedish private universities. Internationalization, an entrepreneurial spirit and collaboration with surrounding society are the characteristics of the University.

The University has around 11500 students. Research and education are carried out at four schools: Jönköping International Business School, School of Education and Communication, School of Health Sciences and Jönköping School of Engineering. These four well-focused and specialized schools, each with a distinct profile, address a portfolio of exciting interconnected topics relating to some of the major issues of our time.
