The City of Poznań

Poznań is the capital of the Province of Wielkopolska (Greater Poland) and is, at the same time, the historical capital of the region and one of the oldest and largest cities in the country. The city extends over 261.3 square kilometres and has 570,000 inhabitants.

During your stay in Poznań you can go sightseeing on a hiking-tour around the region, visit one of the 20 museums or take a walk through one of the parks.

For those who want to pursue sport activities Poznań presents a range of possibilities: There are four lakes where water sports like sailing, canoeing and rowing are offered. A special feature is the artificial ski slope open all year round. You can rent skis and equipment there or you can simply have a good time on the toboggan run.
