We are thrilled to announce that the University of Duisburg-Essen will host the IS:link International Summer School 2017 on Enterprise Transformation.

The first Summer School in Essen since 2011, it is hosted by the faculty of Business Administration and Economics and is themed around enterprise transformation.

Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the contemporary state-of-the-art in digitally enabled enterprise transformation and selected topics concerning strategic transformation planning, digitization, new business models, big data analytics, and more…

The sessions will be presented by an international board of lecturers.

  • LocationUniversity of Duisburg-Essen, Essen, Germany.
  • Eligible participants
    • Master’s students in the fields of IS, computer science, business informatics, or business administration
  • Credits awarded
    • Students can achieve 6 ECTS upon successful completion of examinations.
  • Topics
    • Selected enterprise transformation topics, for instance organizational challenges and impacts, predictive process modeling, and transformation planning.
  • Speakers
    • Renowned scholars from the U.S., the Netherlands, and Germany.
  • Social events
    • The Summer School creates a broad range of opportunities for networking with international peers, including a trip to Cologne, an excursion to the world's largest inland port (in Duisburg), and a visit to Essen’s most famous industrial heritage site: Zeche Zollverein.
