2010 is a year of positive changes in PUE’s Summer School tradition. This year’s Summer School will be organized under the label of IS:Link project. Thus, apart from strong scientific aspect of Summer School we will also emphasize the social part of the event. We get together not only to learn something new, but to get to know each other and the culture of other countries. Join us and become part of our international group!

Course Content

This summer we focus on Service Science – a multifaceted domain, where management and business intertwine. Every enterprise simultaneuosly manages its own services and services provided to clients by adopting the role of service provider or service client. Most interesting for us is the IT aspect of the Service Science issue. How are those services modelled in practice, how are they implemented, what does the service actually mean? Answers to those and many other questions will be developed during the whole week of classes (for detailed plan please check Programme section). The participants of the Summer School will achieve an understanding of the domain of Service Science. They will be introduced in the main issues of research methods in Information Systems. Background knowledge about services and service science will be provided accompanied with al set of use cases, analysis of service quality and examples of using the services to model of business processes. Throughout the whole course participants will take active part in classes and will conduct group work tasks using gained knowledge and doing a science research on their own.
